Amblebrook Honors Veterans with Memorial Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On October 11, Amblebrook at Gettysburg hosted a heartfelt ribbon‑cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of its Memorial Park, a space dedicated to honoring our nation’s veterans. The event was a moving tribute filled with patriotic displays and sincere gratitude for those who have served our country, including the more than 100 veterans who call Amblebrook home.
The ceremony began with a stirring bugle call as the American flag was raised high, setting a tone of reverence and pride. The Ambleband played inspiring renditions of military theme songs as the Amblebrook Flag Corp raised the flags of all branches of the U.S. military. In a moment of unity, attendees joined in singing the national anthem and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, underscoring the spirit of national pride and community.
Distinguished speakers at the event included Colonel Joed Carbonell of the United States Air Force, Isaac Bucher of The Gettysburg and Adams County Chamber Board, and Sara Carbonell, Director of Sales and Marketing at Crown Community Development – their keynote remarks highlighted the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by veterans and their families, reinforcing the community’s commitment to gratitude and support for those who have served.
After the ribbon was cut, guests were invited to explore the serene surroundings of Memorial Park and enjoy light refreshments provided by a Veteran‑owned food truck, Munchies. Designed as a space for reflection and remembrance, the park offers a peaceful environment to honor the memories of those who served with courage and dedication.
Amblebrook’s Veterans Club will also be hosting a ceremony at the park for Veterans Day on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 AM – get in touch today to learn more about the event, the Memorial Park, or the Amblebrook community.
