Amblebrook at Gettysburg Opens State-of-the-Art Fitness Center
Crown Community Development Delivers the 22,000 Square Feet of Wellness Amenities at Rock Creek Fitness Center
GETTYSBURG, PA, November 1, 2022 –Amblebrook at Gettysburg today announced that it will open its 22,000 square foot, resort‑level fitness center with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony to be held on Friday, November 4th at 11 a.m. Featuring strength and cardio equipment, an indoor pickleball and basketball court, and wellness suites, along with an indoor pool and spa, the high‑tech facility will expand the community’s campus of interior amenities to over 50,000 square feet of spaces for socializing, learning, and engaging in health‑oriented activities.
A highlight of the innovative fitness center is the community’s partnership with WellSpan Health, placing Amblebrook among the most health‑conscious active adult communities in the country. The groundbreaking partnership will give residents onsite access to physical therapy assistants, mind and body programs, pharmacy services, health screenings, telehealth and digital services, and more.
Residents, builders, and business partners are invited to join in the ribbon‑cutting event to receive a detailed overview of the venue’s innovative fitness features and wellness programs. To follow up on this event, a private event will be held on Saturday, November 5th where residents and prospective homeowners will have the first opportunity to tour the state‑of‑the‑art fitness center and learn more about its athletic amenities, health programs, and wellness features.
Reflecting on the fitness center’s development, Matt Flickinger, Regional Manager for Crown Community Development was quick to acknowledge the hard‑working individuals that made it happen. “Our entire team was instrumental in getting the fitness center designed and built,” Flickinger said.
“This building is the result of our internal team, local contractors, and wellness consultants all working together toward one goal.”
The spacious building’s interior layout is especially impressive. Designed to facilitate a wide spectrum of wellness activities, the state‑of‑the‑art space provides everything from cardio equipment to sports courts, swimming pools, and spa suites. General contractor, Brechbill and Helman Construction led the building effort for the new venue which will be the hub of wellness activities for Amblebrook residents who will have daily access to courts for pickleball and basketball plus year‑round classes in yoga, Pilates, and water aerobics, and much more.
