Ribbon-Cutting Event
The Amblebrook Gettysburg team will host a Ribbon‑Cutting Event to open The Boulevard Welcome Center
Popular 55+ Community Launches its First Amenity, Featuring a Market, Café,
Sales Center, and Gathering Space
GETTYSBURG, PA, Sept. 10, 2020 –Amblebrook Gettysburg today announced plans for the opening of its Boulevard Welcome Center with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony scheduled for Thursday, September 10th from 11:00 a.m. until noon. The premier amenity is a specially designed space at the community that combines a market, café, sales center, and gathering area in one unique location.
In addition to being a favorite neighborhood meeting place, the Boulevard Welcome Center will function as a multi‑faceted sales center where the amenities, homes, and lifestyle benefits of the Amblebrook community will be showcased, aided by advanced video techniques and state‑of‑the‑art displays. The experienced team at Sharrah Design Group in Gettysburg was responsible for designing and delivering the building, while Megan Sherwood conceptualized the interior design and brought the building to life. Her innovative company, Megan Sherwood Designs, has offices in both London and New York.
The Boulevard Welcome Center is an example of business leaders and local jurisdictions working together for a shared benefit as they look forward to involvement from future Amblebrook residents who will become active in the greater community. In developing the welcome center concept, the Amblebrook team worked closely with the Gettysburg‑Adams Chamber as well as businesses such as The Ragged Edge, which will operate the on‑site market, and Hollabaugh Bros., whose products will be featured in both the welcome center and the adjacent Farmers Market.
Reflecting on the project, Community Development Manager, Pete Martin, was quick to acknowledge the hard‑working team that made it happen. “Our local dream team was instrumental in getting the welcome center designed and built,” Martin said. “This building is the result of our internal team, local contractors, design consultants, and the Gettysburg community, all working together toward one goal.”
The building’s interior space is especially impressive. Designed to facilitate an enlightening and engaging purchase experience, Amblebrook’s discerning interpretation of a welcome center is in a class of its own.
“Megan understood our vision and took it to the next level in a truly special way that will allow our residents and prospects to easily become fast friends,” said Sara Carbonell, Amblebrook’s V.P. of Sales and Marketing. “I think of our welcome center as a casual neighborhood coffee shop with fun surprises that encourage people to come back again and again.”
As the cornerstone of the community, the Boulevard Welcome Center is the first of several Amblebrook amenities, and will soon be followed by an expansive clubhouse—known as Rock Creek Club—and a Sports and Wellness Campus with advanced features to support the well‑being of Amblebrook residents. Rock Creek Club is currently under construction with an anticipated opening in the late spring of 2021. Along with these amenities, the community has planned for a year‑round aquatic center, spa, lounge, cafe, and a full range of organized activities.
Amblebrook Gettysburg is a resort‑style community targeting homeowners who are 55 and better. Community plans include 2,000 homesites across 779 acres of bucolic former farmland, offering residents the conveniences of suburban living in a secure environment with natural surroundings.
